What sets the price
ABC powder grade and brand affect unit cost. On the service side the real number comes from cylinder size (1–12 kg), labour, labelling and any spare parts. Bulk estate maintenance usually beats a single call-out per unit.
In 2026, retail “kilo of powder” and service “refill package” sit on different lists. A one-line kilo price online does not include gauge and valve checks.

Cheap powder risk
Off-spec or damp powder cakes inside the cylinder and fails to flow. Comparing only by kilo is the wrong safety metric. Certified refill and correct labelling decide whether the unit works in a fire.
